Doorways, Crossroads & Intersections:
Drawn to spaces where cultures collide, blend, and reinvent, I grew up between worlds as the son of an American father and Brazilian mother, constantly observing how people and places shape one another. This early flux became my work's bedrock: a habit of gathering details, colors, and gestures from every culture I touch.
My ongoing series probes how environments forge identities, launching with Miami Auto Focus at the Leica Store Miami, to their biggest opening ever, and holding a top-20 spot on Amazon's Miami books for over two years. The resulting interest in prints are the sorting point for this new series.
A total of 13 works built to patina, evolving into deeper beauty with time. Unique to gallery prints, they're made for touch, daily life, and graceful aging, their surfaces gaining character through subtle shifts. Shot on film (often double exposures), I print most on currency-grade cotton/linen blend (75% cotton, 25% linen, the very substrate of U.S. banknotes), or directly on aluminum via Dye-Sublimation for metal subjects, mirroring their textures and light.
